On Jan. 5th, Gary, Phil and Ted did a club trip to the North Shore. We parked at the Voyageur Snowmobile Clubs lot and headed north on the state trail towards Grand Portage. We needed to make a stop at the Ski Doo dealer in Beaver Bay for a repair. When we were done at the dealer we decided that we would not make it to Grand Portage at a reasonable time so we decided to go to the Knotted Pine. We put on 100 miles for the day. Got a cabin there and had Pizza for dinner. On 2/6 we headed north and west to Ely then Tower came south and east back to Babbit. The snow got a little thinner the more west we went but still was good. We Road about 170 miles that day. We stayed in Babbit that night. On 2/7 we left Babbit and headed south back to the truck in Two Harbors. We road about 100 miles that day. Was a great trip!!
